Re: I Need Help Trouble Shooting A Wah Pedal Footswitch?

Yes - but they rarely would fail like that. First they'd get all scratchy - you'd have probably replaced it long ago if it were getting that scratchy. But you can check the pot with your multimeter. Set the meter on resistance, and if it's not auto-ranging then pick the first range over 100k (most m...

Re: I Need Help Trouble Shooting A Wah Pedal Footswitch?

Re: Eliminating radio station interference in recording stud

Every cable acts as an antenna. Good 'wall ground' isn't going to get you where you want to be. The impedance of house wiring is too high for it to be an effective RF sink. The RF in your neighborhood is way too strong for such a simple cure. You will need to be more proactive. The only practical ac...

Re: What is with guitar techs?

Re: I Need Help Trouble Shooting A Wah Pedal Footswitch?

Unlikely an electronic component such as a transistor has failed, that doesn't happen often. Usually it's a "mechanical" thing. It's very common for PCB mounted jacks and soldered-down wires to peel away from the PCB although they still look 'connected'. First thing you should do is try th...

Re: Where to get an amp repaired?

Always suspect the tubes first. Since your problem is on the dirt channel, not the clean channel, mostly likely it'd be the one labeled "V102" on the schematic http://www.drtube.com/schematics/marshall/jtm3-61-02.pdf http://www.drtube.com/schematics/marshall/jtm3-60-02.pdf (I have no idea ...

Re: Sabres 2013-14 Season

I noticed all through September, bar owners would ask us to not play until the Sabres game was over. Now they're begging us to start early. Guess that tells it all, eh?
