Gotta get rid of the "hands off" buzz. Man! Put a beefier bridge ground in, and it still buzzes. Are the cavities shielded? Lay the bass on top of a large sheet of tinfoil and roll the end over to touch the bridge. If the buzz goes away... shield it up! Also... check the resistance betwee...

I like the OEM pickups much better...

The new ones seem mid scooped... and while that'd be cool for slappin' all night... It would suck for someone like me that needs a burping finger style tone.

Mostly it comes down to a vocals thing, wherever the singer wants to hang out. If the singer is having a problem over a half-step, I would think it is more breath support than the song being in E and not E flat... There is something to be said for that, but it's probably not appropriate in this dis...

You can't play songs like Pride and Joy or Superstitions in E. It's just weird. :) Funny though, In my one band we do them in E and the other Eb... I would surely notice the difference, but I'm not sure that the people dancing do. Mostly it comes down to a vocals thing, wherever the singer wants to ...
