Re: Putnam Guitars - Rip Off Artist

Just for the morons who lambasted me over my victimization, Alan Hoover, owner of Maniac Music (who makes the Sutainiac pickup) told me in an email yesterday that the Sustainiac was installed in a shoddy fashion. I wound up sending the guitar to Alan in Indiana just to make sure that the guitar fina...

Re: Putnam Guitars - Rip Off Artist

Again, if you take two seconds to READ, what I wrote was merely that all you've ever posted here is complaints about various repair guys. A warning to anyone that might read one of your "reviews" that maybe they might not want to take your word as gospel. Which implies that the problem is...

Re: Putnam Guitars - Rip Off Artist

Nobody cares that you're 56. Nobody called you a liar. I don't know any of the repair guys in the area. What I said, is the only things that you have ever posted here are complaints about various repair dudes. Which is true. I know reading is difficult, especially when your eyes are all bugged out ...

Re: Putnam Guitars - Rip Off Artist

We didn't need to be there you explained the sitch quite clearly and yes, most of the posters on here are punks. Why all the customization requiring installation and heavy modifications? Do you play in a working band requiring these mods to execute the songs live or do you spend endless hours tryin...

Re: Putnam Guitars - Rip Off Artist

Why would you take anything back to a guy you said had mixed results at best with? That's just dumb. Next time just burn a couple of hundreds. Electric guitars aren't that complicated. Every time I read one of these I think I should start my own setup business. Setting up an electric guitar or bass...

Re: Putnam Guitars - Rip Off Artist

Anyone bothering to read all that, bare in mind that all this user has done is come on here and slag on various guitar guys. So take that as you like. Screw you asshole. Were you there? I repeat, were you there? I'm 56 years old and, prior to 3 years ago, NEVER had a problem with taking my guitars ...

Putnam Guitars - Rip Off Artist

I have gone to Mike Putnam for the past 2 years for various guitar repair work, mostly basic setups. The results have been mixed at best. He's done a few basic setups that were okay. He fixed the electronics on my Musicians Friend Rogue electric sitar for the main pickups, but he wound up disconnect...

Re: Suburban Guitar Repair - Happy Waiting!

"Here ya go Smedley, this should help you on your way - because nobody but Smedley can do satisfactory work on time for Smedley:" To hell with you Tobbaco Soup. Like I said, if you think that Pete holding on to my guitar for 6 months is cool, then you have a pretty twisted definition of th...

Re: Suburban Guitar Repair - Happy Waiting!

BTW Sue, I waited around 3 months to contact Pete because I know that he is normally behind and that this particular job was difficult. I called him a few times after that point but it was always the same thing yet, I haven't gotten to it yet. He said that it was so complicated that he had to do it ...

Re: Suburban Guitar Repair - Happy Waiting!

Sinister, what the hell are you talking about shortcomings? What shortcomings would those be, believing people when they tell me that they will fix my guitar in a few weeks time and instead it turns into 6 months? How is that MY shortcoming? Please explain. I told the story accurately - I did not li...
