Venue for kids/family show??

Postby Shazbot » February 13th, 2015, 1:33pm

Hey folks. Looooooooong time since I've been back to this forum. Had a lot of fun (and some annoying times) back in the day before moving out west. Hope y'all are still doing great.

Anyway, I've been performing a lot of kids/family shows around the country since about 2005, but it occurs to me that I've never really done a show back in the greater Buffalo area in that time, though I've visited the area several times. I've performed at some schools in WNY, and a small invitation-only show at my sister's cafe in O.P., but nothing public, really. Well, I'm coming back to town again the first week of April and wanted to see if I can arrange something...

I'm not too concerned about it being a money maker, but I also don't want to pay something exorbitant to rent a place, either. I'm looking for somewhere that would probably comfortably hold 100-150 people or so. I'll do some basic advertising, but Preferably somewhere centrally located in the region, like West Seneca or Cheektowaga, as I have friends in the North, Southtowns and city. I'm thinking either Friday, April 3 in the evening, or Saturday the 4th during the day. Any ideas?? Restaurants, halls, clubs, other venues?? Maybe a coffeeshop with a big meeting room? I'm really out of the loop as far as knowing what kind of places there might be, so I would really appreciate any suggestions or input.
