I was writing for Buffalo Spree, the site and the print edition, for most of 2013. I got tickets to see Steely Dan and was supposed to write a review of the gig. It was so awful that I quit that job rather than lie about it being anything other than a shit-show.

I quit the News when they tried to send me to DC Talk.

(Actually, it was due to unfortunate family circumstances, but it coincided with them trying to send me to DC Talk, so...)

It’s not that kind of publication. For me to slam the venue and the band and a large portion of the attendees in print wouldn’t have been constructive on any level. It probably wouldn’t have made it to print or on the website.
