should I...?

Postby girlthatdrums » February 24th, 2005, 4:27pm

I'm contemplating buying a new kit to replace the uglies. Here's the specs:

Ludwig Maple Classic
Shadow Charcoal finish (same as the custom snare I ordered in 2002)
Mini-Classic Lugs

(depth x diameter)
18 x 22 virgin kick
10 x 12 virgin rack
14 x 16 virgin floor

RIMS mounts for the toms.

A custom order from Ludwig on this configuration is going to take 3 months, at $1300 which is actually much cheaper than I was expecting.

So, the question is: Should I stop being vein and enjoy my ugly drums since they sound so great, or should I get the drums that I should have gotten in 95 when I ordered these?

I've been pretty good drum-wise, I only had one splurge purchase on another drumset but have since sold them off to downbeat and they are enjoying their new home, i'm sure. I bough the uglies all the way back in 95.

wwbw has a 3-pay plan, credit free. they charge 50% to your card at the time of the order, then 25% 1 month later and another 25% the final month. ;-)
