Struggling Productions Testimonials

See what some of our interns have to say about their experience working with Struggling Productions:

After the country shut down due to the Coronavirus during the Spring 2020 semester, I became overly aware of the fact that as a college student majoring in Music Industry it was crucial for me to find experience in the field to ensure a career for myself. After a near semester’s worth of panic where I believed finding work in the music industry was a lost cause and that I would never make it on the cutthroat path, I stumbled across “Struggling Productions” on LinkedIn and managed to pick up an internship in which I developed skills in social media, public relations, blog editing, event planning, and more. It feels like Struggling Productions saved me while I was drowning in an overwhelming sea of fear and doubt, and I think that any college kid like me studying as relentless an industry as this needs a company like Struggling Productions to help them find their foothold as they enter into the real world.

My experience working as an intern for WNYmusic.com was overwhelmingly positive. I was able to gather firsthand experience in database management and website hosting software, which was a unique experience that I was not expecting going in. On top of this I also made some great connections with real movers and shakers in the Buffalo Music Scene. The idea of having a hub for Buffalo’s music and all the associated members of the community is wonderful. This internship will help anyone who wants to start working in their respective field; on the front lines of playing, mixing and booking music, and acts, or behind the scenes online, in writing, or beyond.

Working as a Struggling Productions intern was a very beneficial experience! I was able to get hands-on experience in a variety of different areas of the music industry-whether it be event planning, artist interviewing or social media promotion. I was nervous looking for an internship that I would only be doing things like getting coffee, but this internship allowed me to actually gain hands-on experience and learn a lot! I really enjoyed working as an intern with Struggling Productions and think others will too!
