The Impurity

The Impurity is the band that defies the stereotypes of music genres. Being called “hard rock” or “heavy metal” doesn’t cover the full spectrum of the bands sound. We aim to write dynamic music that can sound beautiful one moment, and then next you’re taken to somewhere much more energetic. Influences include classic bands such as SoundGarden, Pantera, Alice In Chains, AudioSlave, Gojira, Scorpions, Porcupine Tree, OSI, Tool and much more. The music is meant to carry an inspiring message to anyone listening that the world is more than it seems and that You are capable of more than you think. We want to “wake up” a generation so to speak, towards a more creative, open, and accepting future. And at the same time musically keeping alive good musicianship and meaningful song writing. The band consists of 4 members, Jeff Young – Lead vocals and Guitar, Brett Chodkowski – Guitar and Vocals, Peter Kazmierczak – Drums, and Damien Rorick – Bass guitar. After being around for about 6 years now, opening for national acts such as Quiet Riot, Survivor, Doyle Von Wolfgang of Misfits, Motograter, and more, the band released their first full length album titled “In The End” February 28th 2018. The Album features 7 songs, Eternal Sun, The Flood, Someday, Breathe, Wolf, Define Oracle, and In The End and took the span of the band’s existence to write.
