Christina Stock
From her debut with an impromptu pop band in kindergarten to working her way up in musical theater throughout her teens, Christina has always been driven to write music and perform.
With high school graduation came her first ever road trip – watching legends rock Bonnaroo music festival – followed by entry into the world of music and art at Fredonia State. Her Fred days were filled with late-night jamming, house parties, coffee shops, and crowded bars, working her way through various instruments and writing original music along the way.
Graduation brought the sad reality of a day job and student loans—a world where music was forced to take a back seat. Even though listening to and discovering new music continued, playing live music didn’t seem like a possibility amidst the stresses of “adult” life.
It wasn’t until an unlikely bike accident that Christina started to rethink her priorities and revisit her love for writing and performing. Having her life flash before her eyes turned out to be exactly what she needed—a new start.
It was two years ago that Christina had what she calls her “Office Space” moment. She left her job, her relationship, and her “adult” priorities. She vowed to live every day as if it were her last—to spend time with friends and family, to travel the country, and most importantly, to play music again.
Fast forward—past countless weeks of open mics, meeting people in the local scene, and developing into an authentic songwriter that works hard to have her voice heard. After working the stage for nearly two years as the lead singer of “The Sofa Kingz,” Christina left her first band in pursuits of writing and promoting her own original music.
Essentially, Christina is here to show you that there’s more to life than simply living… to help you discover what it is YOU would do without anyone else’s rules and expectations.
Join her, listen, let loose, and find out.
