L-Biz

Buffalo, NY
Hip-Hop, Soul, and R&B

The gritty city of Buffalo, New York is on the verge of something extraordinarily special…L-Biz!

As a youth, growing up in a musical family has its advantages. For Donald “L-Biz” Foreman, the advantage was learning about the strength of music. At an early age he became fascinated with the art of making music and through his cousins, he grew an immense passion for experiencing the creative process. Coming of age in an era where hip-hop was mostly a New York City movement, Biz’s ear was spread across the board. Influenced by such artists as Brian McKnight, A Tribe Called Quest, and Ice Cube, he displayed his love for hip-hop and R&B. The burning passion led Bizzy to write his first song at the age of 15, which was infused with both R&B and Rap. His talent for singing and entrepreneurial spirit envisioned him to release 2004’s “The Coalition” volume 1 & 2 which allowed him to introduce other notable artists to the Buffalo hip-hop scene including A-Status, 71Sick, and Harlem NY’s own JAG.

Taking a backseat to hone his skills, L-Biz, A-Status, and Diesel & Dinero formed Stil’a Hustle Records. This gave him time to master his lyrical and production skills. His lyrical talent would earn him a guest spot with Q-Boogie on the DJ Green Lantern produced track entitled “The Enemy”. Bizzy’s determination, witty wordplay, and intelligent delivery prove to the music world that L-Biz is ready for the driver seat. To develop himself, L-Biz linked up with one of the Buffalo, NY’s best producers, Thugzman where he enhanced his understanding of music production, creativity, and musical integrity.

In late 2008, Biz released his first solo effort, I Get’s Bizzy “The Mixtape Sessions”. The mixtape was a great display of energy, style, and uniqueness. His passion for hip-hop and versatility finally paid off when in 2009, The Arts produced track, “Hold You” was nominated by WBLK’s Unsigned Hype show for the Single of the Year award.

With the note worthy nomination, features, and obvious attention to intangible details, L-Biz looks to be one to keep a close eye on for years to come. “No matter how you get it, it’s Stil’a Hustle.”
