Review: “Get Get” by Big Ale

Before listening to “Get Get,” I had never heard of Big Ale. However, after listening to this single, as well as some of his previous releases, I have to say I really like what he’s doing and think he has a bright future ahead of him.

“Get Get” is inspired by friendship, strong work ethic, and success. There aren’t enough resources for everyone to get their own in this world, Big Ale says. So he and his friends put up to eight hours per day into working toward the goal of financial freedom through his music. The lyric “…money bags gonna get get. We all gonna get get” is a shining example of this determination.

“Get Get” has a very chill and “vibin’” feel to it. The use of an electric piano, synth, and steady drum beat do a great job contributing to that feeling. I also like the use of an electric guitar in the outro; it was a nice way to end a great song.

I enjoy Big Ale’s versatility as an artist. While a lot of his work fits into the hip-hop/rap genre, I especially liked what he did on his EP “Moksha.” He went for an acoustic folk sound, and it produced some great songs like “Run” and “Brahman.”

My overall verdict: 9/10, would highly recommend to anyone looking for inspiration in dire times. I look forward to hearing more from Big Ale in the future!
