Buffalo Infringement Festival 2021 – Day 9 Previews

2020 may have left you feeling closed off, but today’s Infringement events are here to open your mind and remind you of the wonderful things in life through music.
- Carmen & Lizzy – An acoustic cousin duo who grew up making music together. Playing from 4-4:45 p.m. at Duende at Silo City.
- Artemis X – You wouldn’t think you could incorporate Arabic music so flawlessly into Western genres like jazz, rock, and alternative, but Artemis X (also known as Artemisia Xene) pulls it off with her eclectic and floating music. Playing from 5-5:45 p.m. at Duende at Silo City.
- Jay Aquarious – An all-around performer with R&B/pop songs to soothe the soul. Playing from 6-6:45 p.m. at Duende at Silo City.
- Sardine – Eclectic like you’ve never seen it before, this quartet pulls inspiration from folk, punk, psychedelic, and much more. Playing from 7:30-8:15 p.m. at Days Park.
- Cylo – A group crafting ambient post-rock electronica with influences from jazz, featuring members of Auxcab and Groove Cereal. Playing from 8-9 p.m. at Don’s Garage.
- Jay Bandzz – A rapper who’s new to the game, but not afraid to show the world what he’s got. Playing from 8-8:15 p.m. at Mohawk Place.
- Early Bird – Another member of the Buffalo hip-hop scene bringing trap beats and fresh lyrics to the table. Playing from 8:15-8:45 p.m. at Mohawk Place.
- Groove Cellar – Groove Cellar is a new Buffalo soul funk band inspired by musicians like James Brown, Stevie Wonder, and Donald Byrd. Playing from 9-11 p.m. at Milkie’s Elmwood Lounge.
- Jaali Cypher – Mixing his roots in metal music with his new career in hip-hop, but also taking inspiration from artists like Of Mice and Men. Truly a musical chameleon. Playing from 9-9:30 p.m. at Mohawk Place.
- Retronoid – Lo-fi music for your casual listening pleasure, but make it retro-inspired with influences from cyberpunk. Add in a fun interactive audience experience, and you’ve got a Retronoid concert! Playing from 9:15-10 p.m. at Don’s Garage.
- Mark Lee – Another member of the Buffalo hip-hop community that’s trying to make a difference through his music. Playing from 9:45-10:15 p.m. at Mohawk Place.
- Demyia – Deep, truthful music disguised by a façade of “glittery nonsense,” with elements of soul, electronica, and indie-pop. Playing from 10:30-11:15 p.m. at Mohawk Place.
- The DJ, Vinyl Jerk – An “incognito robot” spinning vinyls for his crowd, mixing old-fashioned ideas with new-age vibes. Playing from 11 p.m.-1 a.m. at Milkie’s Elmwood Lounge.
- 14 Trapdoors – Active and proud members of the Buffalo hip-hop scene, this trio features many guest artists and producers to freshen up the genre. Playing from 11:30 p.m.-midnight at Mohawk Place.
