Buffalo Infringement Festival 2021 – Day 3 Previews

The time has finally come for our annual Lawn Disco! Come for an exciting day filled with music and dancing of all kinds. 

  • La Marimba – Bringing traditional Central American music to life through arrangements for marimba and drum set. A Latin percussion extravaganza! Playing from noon-1:30p.m. at Days Park.
  • Lil Dame – Mixing the trends of modern-day rap with his unique experience as a Nigerian-American to create clever wordplay with a danceable beat. Playing from noon-12:30 p.m. at Nickel City Housing Cooperative: Ol’ Wondermoth.
  • Adithri – Dark and underground rap influenced by rock coming with a vengeance. Adithri is not messing around, and he will make sure you know that. Playing from noon-12:45 p.m. at Shianne Waxing Studio. 
  • Loncé The Starr – Also known as Dyloncé Star, this rap queen proudly represents the 716 and makes herself known with her stand-out Bratz Doll style and powerful bars. Playing from 12:30-1 p.m. at Nickel City Housing Cooperative: Ol’ Wondermoth.
  • Jay Aquarious – An all-around performer with R&B/pop songs to soothe the soul. Playing from 1-1:45 p.m. at Nickel City Housing Cooperative: Ol’ Wondermoth.
  • Diaspora Drumming – Traditional African drumming presented by esteemed members of the musical community. Playing from 2-3:30 p.m. at Days Park.
  • Ancient Spaceship – Psychedelic rock that brings the old ways of funk together with the new ways of electronica. Playing from 2-2:45 p.m. at Nickel City Housing Cooperative: Ol’ Wondermoth.
  • Lazy Ass Destroyer – Early 2000s style rap coming from today’s point of view. Playing from 2-2:45 p.m. at Shianne Waxing Studio. 
  • Bobby Angel Buffalo – A one-man show of rock and country that brings some fun and funky flair with both original tunes and classic covers. Hosting open mic night from 3-7 p.m. at Bobby’s Place. 
  • Meg & the Magnetosphere – The lyrical melodies of frontwoman Meganne Stepka blend wonderfully with the folk rock of the rest of her band. Playing from 3-3:45 p.m. at Nickel City Housing Cooperative: Ol’ Wondermoth.
  • Whether the Weather – A powerfully soulful folk duo whose roots go back to the swamps of their childhood, the bond they share shines through in their performances. Playing from 3-3:45 p.m. at Trinity Farm.
  • Soular Plexus – An eclectic family band, mishmashing all kinds of genres and ideas together. Playing from 4-4:45 p.m. at Nickel City Housing Cooperative: Ol’ Wondermoth.
  • Noah Gokey – An eclectic band that mixes everything from folk-rock to blues to punk. This year, they’ll take inspiration from Phantom of the Opera to create a rock-opera experience. Playing from 4-4:30 p.m. at Trinity Farm. 
  • Tom Stoll – Mandola + laptop + looping. Playing from 4:15-4:45 p.m. at Hostel Buffalo-Niagara.
  • Andrew Biggie – I’ve heard that name before. Is that like a nickname, or a catch phrase? Playing from 4:45-5:30 p.m. at Trinity Farm.
  • M.T. Lakes – A singer-songwriter (also known as Corey Lubniewski) delivering sad but sweet songs. Sometimes with aggressive lyrics, sometimes with soft ballads. Playing from 5-5:45 p.m. at Hostel Buffalo-Niagara. 
  • Hooked on Casiophonics – A four-piece band fusing new gendres like hip-hop and EDM with classic aspects from swing and soul. Members of the band include fellow Infringement performers Jay Aquarious and Pamela “Pamazon” Swartz. Playing from 5-5:45 p.m. at Nickel City Housing Cooperative: Ol’ Wondermoth.
  • Christina Stock – Her description of herself says it best: “Indie-pop-rock- folk-whatever-tf-you want-to call it.” Playing from 5:45-6:30 p.m. at Trinity Farm.
  • Mike Criscione – A staple of Buffalo music and a friend of Infringement, Mike has offered plenty of classic singer-songwriter music over the years, but has recently been dedicating his talents to looping tracks on top of his more traditional-style music. Playing from 6-6:45 p.m. at Hostel Buffalo-Niagara.
  • Bloodthirsty Vegans – A family band that uses hip-hop music to achieve their goal of promoting unity, peace, and love.  Playing from 6-7:45 p.m. at Nickel City Housing Cooperative: Ol’ Wondermoth. 
  • Bryan Dubay – An indie singer-songwriter and producer uber-dedicated to his work. His first album took 10 years to write, and it sounds… well, you’ll just have to hear it for yourself. Playing from 7-7:45 p.m. at Hostel Buffalo-Niagara. 
  • Spud – Fun and funky pop music incorporating elements from disco and ’80s pop. Playing from 8-9 p.m. at Hostel Buffalo-Niagara.

  • Pamela Swarts – Pam is no stranger to Infringement, and her work here is just as avant-garde and eclectic as her other work would lead you to believe. From freakily-tuned guitars to ’50s classics, Pam does it all at once. Playing from 9-9:45 p.m. at Hostel Buffalo-Niagara.
  • Shannon Vanderlaan –  A powerful singer-songwriter that proves piano can make good pop music. Playing from 9-9:45 p.m. at Milkie’s Elmwood Lounge.
  • Pocket Vinyl – Often described as “piano slam rock,” Pocket Vinyl redefines what it means to add piano to your music. They make it even more wild by adding live painting to their performances! Playing from 10-10:45 p.m. at Milkie’s Elmwood Lonuge. 
  • St John and the Other Monsters – A band of older guys who just don’t want to stop playing their alt-rock. Playing from 11-11:45 p.m. at Milkie’s Elmwood Lounge. 
  • Passed Out – Some bros who got together and decided to write some sad alt-rock. Playing from midnight-12:45 a.m. at Milkie’s Elmwood Lounge.
